When I found out that Joel had sold this project to Searchlight, I was kind of shocked by it.
I made a very small, gay Korean American movie called " Spa Night" back in 2016, and I just assumed that the independent film world would be where I'd stay for my entire career because of the types of stories I want to tell. Ahn: In some ways, it's kind of shocking to me that we were able to get this movie made.
